It's Like the Military Without Honor
Thursday, April 14, 2005

Its been a gaggle of time since I put anything up here for no one to read. I have-since last posting-peeked at this blogging thing and the people that do it. So many people are doing it and pretty neatly I might add. The one theme running through all of these blogs is a constant thread. Well, no maybe I am wrong. Its just ME-centric. I did this, I ate this, I read this, me me me. I cannot really make much of a case for this blog vs. any other bachelor who like indie rock and snacks. I will sort of ramble and genuinely have no point.
I started my old job again. Its been my main one on and off for ten years. I work in a business once described to me as “like the military without the honor.” That's a good summation. Since my middle teen years I have traveled. I know clerks in all fo the worlds finest hotels. There are certain convenience stores on 4 different continents that I have frequented longer than that show “Friends” was on the air. I know, I am one of those people who has a great life and still finds the gumballs to complain that my five star hotel is dull and ignorant. I'll hold out telling about my job as much as possible; I'd rather try to not let it out of the bag until someone actually reads this crap.
Anyhow, big new/old job…and with a flight a connection and a good GPS system, I am back. Me and the four board of directors. Nice bunch of guys. We've all known each other for years. I can tell you what they want to eat by the way they breathe. Its funny. When you work with people for a long time, there's that familiarity breed contempt thing.I am staying in a McApartment. It's a beatup old monstrosity of drywall and plastic plants. Oh, I do have a fireplace.

My favorite things are pudding AND Husker Du.
